Vorlagenbeispiele

Wikis

Viele Fachschaften verwalten ihre Artikel in einem Wiki. Das hat einen großen Vorteil gegebenüber dem direkten Satz: Inhalt und Layout sind voneinander getrennt. Erst nachdem der Artikel fertig ist, wird er in das Satzprogramm übernommen.

Es gibt viele verschiedene Wiki-Systeme, die diverse Vor- und Nachteile haben.

Redaktionssysteme?

Gibt es für FS-Zeitschriften brauchbare (nicht-) kommerzielle Redaktionssysteme?

Mailinglisten

Zur Kommunikation in der Redaktion werden häufig Mailinglisten verwendet. Diese sind manchmal nur für die interne Kommunikation der Redaktion gedacht, manchmal aber auch offen für alle Interessierte. Manche Fachschaften haben mehrere Mailinglisten (z.B. eine geschlossene für die Redaktion und eine offene für potentiell interessierte Helfer). Einige Fachschaften haben Zuständigkeiten für bestimmte Themen zu einer Zeitschrift festgelegt, aber in der Regel antworten alle Heftmacher auf alle Fragen.


Allgemeines

Finanzierung

  • Oft übernimmt der AStA (sofern einer existiert...) die Finanzierung für eine bis n-Ausgaben im Semester. Fachbereiche manchmal auch.
  • Wo vorhanden, finanziert manchmal der Förderverein eine Ausgabe.
  • Werbung ist manchmal problematisch, wenn FS kein Geld einnehmen darf.
  • Werbung sollte mehr Geld einbringen als die Druckkosten für die eigentliche Seite
  • Werbung kostet zwischen 128 und 500 Euro pro Din A5-Seite.
  • Druckerei macht Werbung -> weniger Druckkosten
  • Kostenlose Werbung für Hochschulgruppen kann sich lohnen, um z.B. Preise für Rätsel im Heft zu haben.
  • Als Richtwert hier die Druckkosten einiger FS-Zeitschriften
    • Darmstadt (TU) "Inforz": ca. 0,80 € pro Heft mit 60 Seiten (Graustufendruck) bei 800-1300 Exemplaren bei privater Druckerei

Tipps, Tricks und Erfahrungswerte

  • Generell werden FS-Zeitschriften eher gelesen, wenn sie "nah am Leser sind"; also für die Studierenden relevante Informationen mit Bezug zu ihrem Lebens-/Uni-Umfeld enthalten. Allgemeinpolitisches darf zwar auch rein, aber deswegen liest niemand eine FS-Zeitschrift.

Quellen für Photos und Bilder

Bilder müssen für den Druck eine Auflösung von 300dpi haben, das entspricht etwa 100 Pixel/cm. Bei allen Photos muß die genaue Quelle angegeben werden (z.B. "(c) bilderseite.com"), dies ist jeweils in den Nutzungsbedingungen genau beschrieben.

  • PA-Schnippelbuch S/W-Grafiken und Bilder zum Ausschneiden und nutzen (einmal kaufen, immer wieder verwenden).
  • Userfriendly Kostenlos für Bildungseinrichtungen, nach Anmeldung bekommt man 300dpi-TIFF zugeschickt. Bedingungen genau lesen.
  • KOMA-Cartoons (oder Joerg Zender fragen).
  • (c)TOM Touche. Einfach eine Mail an ihn schicken und lieb fragen. Kontaktadresse auf Anfrage bei Dave.
  • Penny Arcade. Die Autoren sind recht offen, wenn man sie lieb fragt.

Alle angegebene Software ist Open Source (GPL u. ä.)

  • Scribus GPL Desktop Publishing, dort sind auch kostenlose Schriften verlinkt.
  • LaTeX + CVS/Subversion
  • Webformular für Kommentiertes Vorlesungsverzeichnis (ergibt einheitliches Format)
  • Wiki
    • man kann mit Scribus einen Importfilter für beliebiges Markup, z.B. Wikicode schreiben
    • Artikel anlegen mit Konzept, der dann "adoptiert" werden kann.
  • Inkscape (Vektorgraphik)
